Greetings to All:
We are to this day overflowing with gratitude. We are thankful to our God for His matchless love, for His everlasting providence, for His goodness and His mercy. The same God of our weary years, the same God of our silent tears, the same God who has brought us to this new era of the millennium. We are grateful to each and every member of the Church for your prayers, support , cooperation and love.
Our prayer is that God will continue to bless our church, Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, as it continues to serve as a beacon of Christian values for 136 years and beyond in Bakersfield, CA. To God Be the Glory! God Bless Us All!

Our Pastor, Rev. H.T. Calhoun , is a humble, faithful Man of God. Respected in his roles as husband, father, and grandfather. Loved by the congregation of the church, the community and the people whose lives he touched.
With the leadership of Rev. Calhoun, the church continues to grow and exists with guidance of the Almighty God.
Rev. Calhoun was the Vice-President at Large of the California Missionary Baptist State Convention for 14 years; and Moderator of the San Joaquin Missionary Baptist Association for 22 years and counting. He is involved in community activities together with other Pastors in Bakersfield.

Our First Lady, Sis Linda Calhoun, is a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She confidently worked on these roles with grace, humility and if needed with a strong hand.
She is responsible for bringing glory to God by providing support, encouragement as well as on-going love and devotion to her husband and her family. She walked in kindness and love towards everyone and show support to those who are in need. Sis Calhoun is a Woman of God, a friend and inspiration to everyone whose lives she touched. She is a zealous and dedicated Sunday School teacher of Adult Bible Class 2 and always make herself available to help and support every activities of the church and the community.
